Coos County ranked 10th in state for resident earnings in 2017


Coos County ranked 10th among counties in New Hampshire by annual earnings per resident, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau in August.

The median income of Coos County residents was an inflation-adjusted $24,716 per year. Coos County had 13,879 households in 2017, with a population of 32,119.

The county with the highest median resident income in the state was Rockingham County. Rockingham County's median income was $39,666 per year after adjusting for inflation – $14,950 more than Coos County. It had 119,955 households in 2017 and a population of 302,479.
