Graduates earn 228 degrees, certificates from Lakes Region Community College


About 15.8 percent of the 228 degrees and certificates handed out by Lakes Region Community College in 2017-18 were to students in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs, making them some ofthe most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Laconia conferred 35 associate's degrees and 1 certificates in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs.

But the single most popular program was for a associate's degree in fire science/fire-fighting. Data shows the school gave out 32 associate's degrees in fire science/fire-fighting, followed by 26 associate's degrees in liberal arts and sciences/liberal studies and 21 certificates in manufacturing engineering technology/technician.

The college enrolled 827 students for 2017-18, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
