Graduates earn 101 degrees from the New Hampshire Institute of Art


About 89.1 percent of the 101 degrees and certificates handed out by the New Hampshire Institute of Art in 2017-18 were to students in visual and performing arts programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Manchester conferred 62 bachelor's degrees and 28 master's degrees in visual and performing arts programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in illustration. Data shows the school gave out 18 bachelor's degrees in illustration, followed by 14 bachelor's degrees in photography and 14 bachelor's degrees in general design and visual communications.

The institute enrolled 351 students for 2017-18, including 308 in undergraduate programs and 43 in graduate programs.
