11.6 percent of New England College students played sports on university teams in 2016-2017


In 2016-2017, 11.6 percentage of New England College students participated in collegiate sports, according to data made available by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).

New England College has 1,844 undergraduate students, of which 59 percent are women and 41 percent are men, and a total student body of 2,832 students. Of these students, 190 men and 138 women represented the school by participating in one or more of the sports with teams at the school.

This total does not include students playing intramural sports.

According to NCES, 4.3 percent of students enrolled at institutions of higher education with sports teams were on teams.

The sports at New England College with the most participants are soccer (69), ice hockey (58) and lacrosse (47).
